Reply with quote | #1 | Hi Dr. Deaton, I had bloodtest taken and showed that I had low progestrone. They put me on Clomid and my body reacted very well and my progestrone normalized. However, I did not get pregnant on it during the 6 months. Do you think that I would be a good candidate for IUI? My husbands sperm count is normal. Thanks for your help.

Reply with quote | #2 | Melissa,
Thanks for the message. Only 35-40% of women conceive on clomid, and often IUIs don't help. If you've done 6 months of clomid, you probably want to consider changing fertility drugs, to either femara or the injectables. I would not be opposed to adding IUIs at this point, especially if it is not a financial burden, but I would first change fertility drugs. Blessings. __________________ Jeffrey L. Deaton, M.D.
